The most useful thing to send is the task itself, described the way you would describe it to a new hire: what happens today, who does it, how often, and where it goes wrong. A paragraph is enough. neu Intelligence is based in Dublin and works with clients across Europe and the United States, so calls get scheduled against your timezone rather than ours. No message goes unanswered, including the ones that turn out not to be a fit — a straight no comes back the same day as a yes would.

A reply arrives within 1 working day, written by the person who would do the work. It says one of 3 things: this is worth a call, this is not a build worth doing and here is why, or here is the smaller version of it that would actually pay for itself.

If a call makes sense, it runs 30 minutes and covers your real operation rather than a slide deck — what the process looks like now, where the hours go, and what the smallest useful version of the fix would be. Nothing is charged for that call and nothing is committed at the end of it. If neu Intelligence is the wrong fit for the problem, the call ends with a straight answer rather than a proposal.
